Fluffies love Easter too!

We were all ill on Easter. So rather than the Easter egg hunt at the boys grandparents like we planned, we all stayed home. Our little fluffy babies were all well and excited though, so they still got Easter.

We used the Easter basket that Penguin was going to use for the hunt and put them in it. Then they all got their own Easter egg hunt with their very own animal friendly eggs! They loved it! Lily started munching her egg straight away, Lulu curled up in her egg and fell asleep and Elie went skatty and nibbled a fair bit. Kari was more excited about eating the basket than the egg but loved his Easter Egg Hunt!

Let them loose! ...safely!

To let Bears Elie-kins out we need a fortress and lots to amuse her with so she doesn't try to squeeze out the bars... as she does fit through them at a squeeze. We made a little house out of an Avengers Easter egg box and she loved it! Bear the Cat thought it was hers... we think she actually enjoyed it in there, weird kitty! Then out came the big boy... Kari was let loose and decided he loved the (To Him) miniture see-saw! We had a hard job getting him off! But damn it was so cute!

Do you find the Dress guilty...or not guilty! DUN DUNDUNN

Ahh the mornings when you all jump into one bed... and the little one said...SAY CHEESE!!!

Obviously before an event where you made the dress you have to trial it for comfort... Lets just say the dresses were guilty of two counts of itchiness beyond belief and BEARability!
Where we had joined the top to the bottom we had accidently created an itchy waistline and zipline.
*ANGRY FACE*
Thank god we wore them before the Easter hunt they were ment for! The evidence was over whelming!!!
We still love them and it is a very fixable problem so we sentence them too...
...1 month without wear and multiple stabs with a needle! BAM!

Bear got a new collar... the feline Bear!

Bear has got a matching bowl so far and now a cute kitten sized collar that doesn't swamp her! Its a safety collar with an ID tag ready for her to be spayed and let (more forced) into the outdoor cat world!

She may be an evil demon (MEG MEEGGG MEEEGGG!!!) but we love her - we love all fluffies at heart but not the fleas!!! An outdoor cats nightmare that she will soon learn!

Welcome to... SUPERRRMARKET SWWEEEPPP!!!

You know when you get all excited running around a supermarket for something and you feel like you are on Supermarket Sweep?

Surely not just us!?! ...

So much hyperness! And obviously matching outfits!!!

Wife swapping without the husbands…

So last night (27th March 2013) Penguin went to sleep next to her Clouded Leopard (Simon, for those of you who haven’t read about him on the other page). And 2 of her girls Mitzi and Tulay, (again for people who haven’t read the pages, they are tarantulas. Now go read the other pages and come back to this one!) . But when she woke up In the place of the Leopard was a beautiful Bear with a Hamster in between the 2 and a fluffy ginger Cat at the bottom of the bed. Turns out they had been there for 2-3 hours while Penguin was still sleeping. And after Penguin woke up we did still not move for about 20 minutes.

OMG KARI HAS A NEW HUGER BIGGERER CARRY CASE!!!

When  we did move, we only went to Bear’s bed anyway. But while there we decided we wanted chips with curry source. Neither of us wanting to get up, get dressed and go to the chippy,  decided to pick what each other wore. And what ever we chose, the other HAD to wear…. Lucky we were both in a good mood and was nice to each other. We both picked out the same colour shorts and top (yes we are starting to think we spend too much time together too..) And off we went!

But we went to the chip shop there was no curry source! But we put up with what they had and walking home had some brilliant ideas!

1. There should be a curtain amount of free food allowance for everyone. If people want more then that THEN they pay. Would stop people struggling for food and if people really want to be fat they still pay for the privilege!

2. Each country should put all their money, every penny, in a bank. Let the interest build it up and we’d all be rich!

3. Changed Adam’s (if you don’t know who he is then you haven’t read the other pages and I’m not telling you anymore) Bi-polar cat’s name. She was called Bear, after the beautiful Bear who owns half this blog. But the cat is evil and them both having the same name was confusing. So she is now called Meg.  (*Disclaimer* WE, BEAR AND PENGUIN, DID NOT CALL THE CAT BEAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. WE KNEW THAT IT WAS A BAD IDEA AND THAT IT WOULD CAUSE PROBLEMS AT SOME POINT. NOT EVERYONE IS CUT OUT FOR BEING A BEAR!)

Then we found sugar. People should not leave Bears or Penguins with sugar. Especially when they are together! So while ‘watching’ (we never actually watch the films we put on) Paranormal Activity 3 we entertained ourselves. Have you ever seen green Sprite? It taste like bubblegum, is flat and so much fun to make! But when there are plans for the sherbet in a Wonka’s dip-dap, what else can you do with the lolly sticks other then bite them in half and use them as bunny teeth. (Or in penguin’s case take a picture or two with both ’teeth’, eat one of them and then just carry on with one). Then we ate muff….ins (and we wonder why people think we’re gay)

So nothing special really happened today. But us being Bear and Penguin, can make any day interesting enough to blog about!

And when we blog we go crazy and do this... Somehow we got to this point... you can work out the many possible ways...us kitties are sleepy!

Fimals! (Fimo Animals)

How can making necklaces of your name to go with the dress you made turn into making all your pets out of the same stuff? We don’t know either.. But it happens. Trust us.

Matching Pyjamas! (If you’ve seen insidious, you get it)

On the latest of our shopping trips. We found pretty pajamas.
When we got home and tried them on we discovered that Bear ad the wrong size. Much too big. Any normal person would get annoyed or upset. But we are not normal or people.
So instead we both stood in it, got some pictures in it and then Bear took it back the next day and got the right size.

Beads, Bees and Shocking Headlines!!!

The bee, the bracelet and the Ring
This came along because we were making bead jewellery to watch our dress. We wanted to carry on with the dress, but Simon hadn’t gone to work yet.. But we had a MASSIVE to do list for the day, so we needed to start with something. Thankfully the bee was so much easier then the 3D one!

Bear wants hold Mitzi (Stage 1)
One day, Bear came into Penguin’s room, looked at Mitzi and decided she wasn’t scared. First time ever.  So slowly but surely she’s going to hold her.

Step one: Have her leg on your finger.

Dresses Attempt 2 - Difficulty: Pull your hair out!

22nd - 25th March 2013

We decided we wanted to test ourselves more on this dress and we wanted it too look different from the first.  We bought matching material but in different colors and kind of decided on a design. We changed the original design because we ended up with an extra meter of each material then we asked for.

We decided on a boob-powered-no-straps dress this time, with a layered skirt. We lined the bottom of each layer of the skirt in black.

This time we had to be clever. The pattern we were following was for a size 16, 18 or 20. So we had to measure ourselves and copy the pattern so it would fit us. Which did include taking out panels which made us feel thin! We made our own pattern for the skirt because the pattern they had was useless! We are very proud of our own pattern because it works! And looks pretty too!

Penguin is getting better with sewing. She can now be left to it more and doesn't always need everything pinned. Oh and she doesn't need booze to go straighter.

We are thinking of wearing them for Easter.

TADAHHH!!!

Super-Kitty, Super-Big-Bear & Super-Nerdy-Nerds!

Holly Plays Dress Up - Princess turned Superhero!
Ever gone to a fancy dress party and not known what to go as? If you were a cat you wouldn't have that problem! Mind you, everyone has their favourite thing to go as and Holly’s was clear.  She did try quite a few before she chose a clear winner though. But who wouldn't want to go around dressed as Super man? Unless there was a Bat man one of course!

The Bear that was too big.
Bear and Penguin never thought there’d ever be a day when there was a bear too big for Bear’s room. But on 21st March 2013 it happened!

As hard as she found it, she decided rather then him being moved around and never hugged, he would go to a new loving home to share the bear love to someone with more space. But we were going to give him a special last day with us!

To town we went! And as it was a nice day and we are poor, we walked. It really is amazing how friendly people are when you are walking around with a Bear almost as big as you are. We took him for a teddy bear picnic and he got to look round all the shops before off he went to the charity shop. He gets a new home, we did a good deed. Everyone is happy. The big penguin is going next! Yes there is a penguin that is too big too!

Nerds are Bears too!
Not much to say about this one really. Just happened the same day at taking the big bear to get a new home. We just thought everyone should see our awesome new bear ears being modelled by our favourite nerds!

Since when was the Easter Bunny Incestuous!?!

What do you do when you need to get a present for Easter for people, but are told not to get an egg because it will probably be wasted? This is the latest problem Bear and Penguin faced.

The solution? Easter baskets! Give them a bunny, a bit of chocolate and some Easter decorations in a basket and you are fine! And that’s what Penguin decided to do, with some help from Bear as always. Which meant another day shopping.

And where's Easter without some fun after school childrens crafts! Our nephew loved making his little Sermy the Lamb and Sock the Chicken (He always comes out with creative names!). Penguin had Cutie the Bunny (Again named by our nephew!) and Chirpy the Chicken. Bear had a very creative Baa Baa the Lamb and Bun Bun the Bunny :D.

What would happen if everyone had babies with everyone?

We were playing with our nephew on Bear’s new app on her phone. If you took photos of 2 people, it mixed their faces together and you can see what your children would look like. We have a big family so lots of faces to mix together. We were at it and having such fun a laugh for AGES!!!
Bear’s and Penguin’s babies would look cutest though!

If we were to breed...

Bear...Penguin...Lion...Chicks...&...Romantic Kitty!?!

What the hell...Seductive Kitties!?!
When planning a romantic evening for you and your other half, curtain things make it better. One tip though, if putting petals on your bed is one of the things you feel you need for this, make sure the cat is off the bed.

Tweet Tweeet

No Easter basket is complete without chicks. And Bear and Penguins being the idiots that they are decide to make more work for their selves we decided to make them. So now we have funny  looking chicks!

We're all going on a... Bear Hunt

We were playing ’We’re going on a Bear hunt’ with our nephew. And the 3 of us were taking it in turns to be the Bear. Whoever had the Bear hat, was the Bear.

To play ‘We’re going on a Bear hunt’ you have to act out the book by the same name.

Then the game changed… Penguin was in her Lion onesie, (we like to be animals a lot okay? In that one day we were was a Bunny, a Bear and a Lion!) And it became we’re going on a Lion hunt!

Kari Turns Two!!!

Well Penguin’s little fluff ball is turning 2!
Which means we've nearly had him 2 years! So of course it was time to celebrate!
And as our animals get spoilt on the best of days, you can only imagine how badly they are spoiled on their birthdays.
We (tried) to get him to open all his presents himself.
And his cage became full of new wonderful things for him.

And look what we found!!! :O O:  --->

AND WE MADE BEES!!!
Now when it’s late, we have some ideas that we think ‘Ahh that’s a brilliant idea!’. Half the time it isn’t.. We’re still not sure if this was a good idea or not. We love our bees, but they were so awkward to make! And took so long to make! So personally (I Penguin) don’t think I’d make one again…
Not the ones the book said too as they were lame so we made our very own awesome ones! Don't get me wrong we were up until almost two in the morning to finish them and they were very fiddly and frustrating but whollah!

Drinking & Driving...

Energy Drinks + Nephews Bike = F.U.N!!!

You know when you are in that childish mood for no reason? Bear and Penguin know it all too well and all to often! And sometimes, when children’s toys and left around, and you are in that mood, you have to play with them! Or is that just us?

- Bear & Penguin...Aged 5 and a  half...

Congratulations! He's a Boy!...NO SHE is a GIRL!!!

So I (Penguin) always thought my blue lobster was a boy. Today after checking twice I found out I was wrong...

It all started this morning. She has gotten quite a bit bigger then when I first got her and I just noticed she had these small extra legs/fins under her tail. This made me doubt that she was a he.

I informed Bear of my un-sure-ness and we hatched a plan so we could 100% know. Bear had the idea to get a glass bowl, put the lobster in and and look underneath and compare it to a diagram of a lobster and we'd know. But while she was out we decided to hold her as I'd wanted to since I got her and I had been training her to get used to my hand. After having a look we still thought that she was a he.

BUT ... DUN DUN DUN

While looking for a better picture (as we decided we were going to blog about it and wanted a picture of the diagram) we thought we should have one of a blue lobster rather then a normal one, so you could tell it was meant to be claws.

When we found one, we discovered that blue lobster sexing was different from normal lobster sexing. And from the looks of it my lobster was a girl. So again we got the bowl out held her up and found out she is a girl!

So now I penguin have 3 girls (Just like Bear.. We are always the same even when we don't mean to be). I just have more boys.

This is the misleading photo that made us think that she was a he!
This made us doubt that she was a he and let us know that sexing red and blue lobsters are different.

And this was the picture that confirmed that she was a she!

We Wear Short Shorts!

Yes indeed, we wear short shorts! Or more like shorts that we make!
We found a really awesome how to guide:
http://www.maycieafterfive.com/2011/07/how-to-make-shorts.html

This is how ours turned out. It took us in total about an hour to make them both and we strutted around in them for the rest of the evening! We didn't have any material around apart from the blue we used, but we have grown to like them :) We cannot wait to hunt new materials down and go crazy and possibly add a whole new lot of crazy to them!
