Adventures at Bluewater

We never really have the time to pop to Bluewater and have fun. But we did after our trip to Darent. We found hamster balloons that was totally adorable. Shame their ears didn't quite blow up at all - just tiny nubs. Then we found adorable Batman onesies for likkle babies and scary looking Hello Kitty teddies. They were really terrifying - maybe they were on drugs or something? I do love my Hello Kitty teddies but i definitely had to pass on these freakish ones.. eww. *Shudder*
There was a huge Hello Kitty outside you could put your face in so it made up for it a little bit. And a penguin.
On the bus home we left little penguin wind-up toys for someone to find and maybe hopefully get found by a kid and make them smile :)

It was nice to have a different scenery for once and run riot and be six years old again. Especially when the Build-a-Bear workshop have My Little Ponies in! And Pinkie Pie! So i had to get one. It was amazing - a dream come true! Obviously she was named Pinkie Pie and has many outfits! Pink and sparkly.

Happy Birthday to our Nephew! - with added cake!

Our Nephews Birthday!

As you have probably noticed we don’t involve our nephew on our blog for various reasons and our own beliefs but we can’t give his Daddy a birthday message and not him so:
Happy Birthday to our Beautiful Nephew!
He makes every moment with him amazing, hilarious and filled with love and happiness!
For the first time Bear and Penguin got to make his cakes and we were sooo excited about doing them. His first one was obviously for his actual birthday with his family. So we make a one tier Sonic cake! He chose the filling colour – it was blue… duh!!!
He absolutely loved it and went crazy, which made our day and the afternoon’s hard-work pay-off!

Looking Good and Feeling Fabulous!

Always Around To Help Our Auntie Elaine!

Our Auntie Elaine was in the middle of doing a Make-Up Course and needed some female models. So of course there is three women in this household so that’s an easy three more on a peaceful sunny Sunday. Most of all it was nice to relax with the girls - have a laugh and catch up :)
Here’s Elaine (She’s Lovely and a great Make-Up Artist!!!)

She did do a really, really good job. She did a green/ blue on Carol, a pink on Penguin and Purple on Bear. One part of it was that we needed to have red lips for her to practice. It was rather funny as Bear has ticklish lips. We were all red and looking fabulous J
(Ignore Bears' Heart Monitor - she just has too much love to give!)

All in all it was great fun and she did such a great job we brought Make-Up again (On our Bluewater trip). We went to her place of work and brought the primer, foundation, Red Lipstick and Nude Lip Gloss she used on us. She definitely left an impression.

After we looked all glam with nothing to do and no where to go we decided to take a random walk to the shops down the road to buy something, we had to get out and show the world our new prettiness. We ended up buying a drink and some peculiar Extra Bubblemint. Well at the very least we got some fresh air and a little bit of exercise to stretch our legs with.

We were both very impressed with what she had done, and hope she gets all the praise and credit for the work she puts in with her other customers! It’s nice to see her happy in a job she both loves and is AWESOME at!

Enjoy a funny group photo!

Toys f’R’iggin Us!!!

Oh heaven is indeed a place on earth!

We love to be children! So yes… yes please… let us loose in one and come and find us (If you can!) in a few hours!
We had to go and get our nephews cake toppers for his birthday and pick up something ultra cool and awesome for Harley to give to him!
We found a Sonic and a Shadow Fully Articulated Figures that he would love! He loves playing with Sonic and Shadow and they were big! Suits the huge imagination he has. And even better was that they are plastic so can go in the bath with him. It was a great find and we were worried we would get something that Harley didn’t like or that someone else had got him so it was a very tense trip until we sorted it all!

As the boys were busy playing with the new Wii U console we ventured around and found all sorts of wonders, Tatty Bears, Disney Princess’, Masses of Lego and… a strange polar bear with glowing blue eyes. I can assure you now that polar bears don not look like that or do anything scary. They are lovely.

Bear did have a heart drop moment when she found a My Little Pony Pinkie Pie bag and little figure. They had to come home with us too without argument! Some (MATTHEW!) said I wouldn’t use it but he was proved wrong as its now used as an everyday bag… where appropriate anyhow!

We did come to the amazing conclusion that we could happily live in Toys’R’Us.

Trosley Trek with our Kev!

Bear, Penguin and their friend Kevin went out on a sunny day for sunshine and exploration at Trosley Country Park!

We found weird shaped sticks. Kevin had “The Claw”, Penguin had a Pirate Sword and Bear had a long sword. It was rather amusing for grown adults to hit stuff and mess around with nature. It really is the small things in life that entertained us on our super long nature walk/trek!
Especially when we find a sign that reads “Easy Access” – highly entertaining!

Then after the “Easy Access” fiasco we found… “Sheep Not Grazing”… I mean what does that even mean!? So naturally we took turns to be the (Apparently Crazy!!!) Sheep that according to some nature wood sign maker wasn’t grazing.
Got wood? Baaa!

Not far out of Trosley Park you can find a historic burial place called Coldrum Long Barrow. I wont bore you with the history but if you are interested or even a slight bit curious here a link to some information.
Don’t say we aint helpful… xD

On the higher part of the site is a tree where people have tied photos, wishes for the departed and general tassels and ribbons that look absolutely sublime if you ever get to see it! It truly is a mind- blowing experience. We didn’t know that this existed so we didn’t come prepared at all. So Bear ended up tied a Parma-Violets Wrapper onto a branch with a yellow hair band and Penguin tied on her beaded ring that she made. We feel like we had some sort, it may be small, input into the experience that others will now see.

We found quite a handily placed map and headed for Trottiscliffe; the town just south of Trosley Country Park. Somehow on the way I was still hitting stuff… including walls… until I broke a part (Very Much by Accident!!!). The stick had to go!
After a few hours trekking and seeing the sights and landmarks we found a lovely deserving paradise, Especially for Kevin. Yes we found a pub! The George – it was beautiful and nicely situated… I mean if you were ever going to build a pub in a perfect location you would have to build it on top of this one…
Kevin said he got a surprise for us… It was a little worrying but mainly exciting. Turns out it was ice –cream!!! A beautiful collation of mouth watering ice-cream, at the top it had Strawberry as if it was an actually chilled strawberry – the flavour was so intense and gorgeous. Then Vanilla – with actual vanilla pod seeds in it – ending with the rich velvety chocolate. We were in heaven! Especially when Kevin gets cheesy chips so we can mix them together. Verdict: Warm and cold tastes good together and yes even cheesy chips and Vanilla ice-cream xD.

To get back into Trosley Country Park we could either go back the way we came from, go around in a complete circuit or head up a hill that Kevin told us about. Somehow he didn’t stress enough the sheer steepness of this hill! Most the way we had to reply on rabbit holes and mole moulds to kind of use as a ladder to get to the top, even taking a few pit-stops. Mostly to admire the view and to have a daydream and snuggle – we must have looked crazy! We had climbed so high we could see the shore line of Dover in the View and every town in-between! Looking back it looks like we were facing a cliff drop but it was definitely the steepest hill we had ever climbed up!

There is never a park we pass that we could ever resist! Our inner child just HAS to slide and swing and obstacle like we are 10 years old again! Ah the joys! We went backwards down the slide, down in pairs and groups. But then Kevin mentioned a wavy slide that he had discovered.
Goodbye straight normal slide…
                                                            HELLO wavy amazing slide!!!
We went forwards, backwards, upside down you name it. Even power slided like rock stars!!! We were there for other an hour. There was even our favourite type of swing!

AHHH HEAVEN!!!

What a friggin day!!!
What a friggin day indeed!!!

If you go out in the woods today You're sure of a big surprise... Because of a Werewolf and ghost, not Bears this time...

Ghost hunt in ‘The Warren Werewoods’

Penguin’s Leopard, Simon, likes to do silly, funny things on the internet with his Panda cousin Peter. This is their you tube site :

http://www.youtube.com/user/JefforesProductions?feature=

Just in case you are interested.

They thought up a new idea, based on an idea that they had already had for a different video.  Neither of them believe in ghosts. They had done a video before where they were in a back garden doing a silly version of one of the ghost hunting shows. But it was just the two of them. This time they invited Bear, Penguin, Bear’s Panda Matthew and their little brother Sammy the Lemur.

So the six of us went off into the deep dark woods (As if we were going on a bear hunt)  ‘we're going on a bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day! We’re not scared’.

Yes, we are going to use the story to tell you what happened…

We’re going on a ghost hunt
Kirsty Bear & Penguin Ellen

Uh-Uh! Dark woods! Very dark woods! We can’t see over it. We can’t see under it. Oh no! We’ve got to use a torch!
Bright, bright! Bright, bright!  Bright, bright!
We’re going on a ghost hunt. We’re going to see a big one. What a beautiful night! We’re not scared.
Uh-Uh! A trunk!  A long tree trunk! We can’t go under it. We can’t go through it. Oh no! We’ve got to go over it!
Stumble, trip! Stumble, trip! Stumble, Trip!
We’re going on a ghost hunt. We’re going to see a big on. What a beautiful night! We’re not scared.
Uh-uh! A hole! A big round hole! We can’t go over it. We can’t go under it. Oh no! We’ve got to go around it!
Step, step! Step, step! Step, step!
We’re going on a ghost hunt. We’re going to see a big one. What a beautiful night! We’re not scared.
Uh-uh!  A noise! A flying noise!  We can’t see it. We can’t  find it. Oh no! We’ve got to just carry on!
Walk over here! Walk over here! Walk over here!
We’re going on a ghost hunt. We’re going to see a big one. What a beautiful night! We’re not scared.
Uh-uh! The end of the woods! There is a Park. We go in it. We play on the swings. Oh no! We hang upside down from the rope pyramid
This hunts my belly! My foot is stuck! Help me down!
Peter panda falls to the floor! He’s pretending to be possessed by a ghost!  Why is he Swimming?! IT LOOKS FAKE!!!!
Quick back home!  We don’t need to go back through anything we went though because we can just go around the woods!
Get to our front door. Open the door. Up the stairs. Oh no! We need fluffy cuddles! Back down the stairs. Get Kari. Back up stairs. Into Bear’s Bedroom. Get the hamsters out. Take pictures.
We’re never leaving the fluffies again!

My Milkshake brings all the.. Cats.. to the.. Bedroom?

Milkshakes!
This house has been sicky-central for about a month now. The doctor has prescribed all sorts, including more fruit. Now us being us, we can't do anything the normal way. (Plus Mr Panda didn't want to just eat bananas  so it was his idea... )
So homemade milkshakes were in order! We went to the shops and bought fruit, milk and ice cream. Came home and got the blender out!
Not that I'm at all biased.. But my dear Bear makes the BEST milkshakes ever! So yummy!
  1. Banana and Honey
  2. Strawberry and Raspberry
  3. Strawberry (And extra ice cream)
It was so much fun to make, kind of easy compared to what we normally do to ourselves.. So yummy! And of course like everything we do, shouting 'I am Sherawrrr' was totally called for.

We didn't measure out anything. All we know is the strawberries lasted one day, the ice cream not much more, there was plenty of milk left and they were pretty friggin' yummy!

Bath time Mr Stumpy

Penguin's little kitty is special. He is called Stumpy for a reason. (Not that Penguin named him). But he gets more problems than you might first think of when you see his little front legs. Coupled with the fact that he has a bath mouth, this means that he can't clean himself.
And mummy Penguin and Auntie Bear loving him as much as they do, decided that they would do it for him.
We found some grooming wipes for sensitive skin for cats and gave him a nice wash and brush. He loved it! And bless him he was trying all he can to help by trying to lick the bits he can reach.
Afterwards, to dry up, he played in his new blanket (Which matches his chinchilla brothers little portable house) like he was a baby and fell asleep a happy little clean cat!

Shorne Woods Country Park with Kev

We love our Kev very much. He has been a dear friend for so, sooo many years now :D We thought we owed it to him to have a lovely day out at Shorne Wood Country Park.
We did the fitness trial – which apparently we are terrible at but it was hilarious. Kev was the only one that could actually do the monkey bars without just swinging limply!
We found the worlds most amazing swing! Everyone should have one in their back garden! An electrical one maybe so you can push yourself!!! It was pure heaven… in a swing! There was a cool slide yet it doesn’t work. It was broken, as you would stop on the bump in it – which was fairly annoying! We found all sorts of fun in the parks and Kev taught us how to master the obstacle trials they have there which was hilarious so que a Kevs’ How –To Guide at some point! We congratulated ourselves with a Twister… yummy!
Then we finished with an amazing four hour walk around and visited the Faerie Ring.
Overall it was an amazing day and so good to have a day full of sunshine and get outside in it!

We signed the guestbook xD

Paradise Wildlife Park

We have to Break free!!!

We always make our own entertainment when we are in the back seats on the long journeys! We set up our little “Dens” with supplies and entertainment, blankets and Pillow Pets. Which come in very handy for cosiness! We started by raving to the Ghostbusters theme song whilst winding down the windows and blasting it out. I think we freaked out the rest of us in the car behind! We sang we laughed and then we found Rainbow Sugar Stripes. There was no going back from this madness! It was hilarious and the trip goes so much faster when you lose track of time and where you are on route! All we need next is a bigger car; maybe even a pick-up. Then we could make a bigger Den and have a proper party Den layout going on! It is really nice having a family day out where we can spend quality time doing what we love. Especially with our partners as it is really rare we go on day trip and relax for a day. Even if we were all incredibly ill!

Penguin is reunited with the penguins!

On 8th February 2012 Penguin went to Paradise wildlife park for the 4th time (4 being my lucky number), with her leopard to fulfill her life dream of feeding penguins.
On the 13th April, the whole family went to the park again, and of course, Penguin was excited to see the penguins again! Even more so than when going to see penguins anyway.
The penguins were cleaning each other, they were marching away.. And one brave penguin was swimming even though it wasn't very warm! And there was one fat one.. He didn't really do much..
They all wanted to swim.. But it was too cold!

HOW COULD ANYONE NOT LOVE PENGUINS?!?!

I wore my penguin hat, hoping someone would think i was an escaped penguin, put me in with the penguins.. Then I could get one (Probably the fat one as it didn't do much , so it might not of run away) and then just take my hat off and be like 'Hey, why did you put me in here? I'm a person.. Let me out please?'
But that didn't happen...

Golf is fun because of animals.. So is sand.

The family has gone to the zoo 2 times since Bear and Penguin have been around. Both times, us girls, and the boys, have had a separate little treat. The boys play golf. The girls make sand animals. then the girls catch up with the boys on the golf course and take pictures with all the plastic animals that are around the course. Everyone is happy! First time we were there they didn't have Bears or Penguins, So Bear made a horse and Penguin made a Lion. The second time they didn't have Bears but they had Penguins. So Bear made a  horse and Penguin made a Penguin.

Feeding Green Naped Lorikeets

Sammy can’t have all the fun of feeding the animals! Well, he might of done it too.. But at lest we did do it. It was so fun! And the bird were beautiful! They did poo a lot though.. Maybe too much food in one day… But they were really friendly! One sat right on our hands and started to clean them, it was so cute!

Tam still lives!

Penguin and her Leopard have been to PWP 3 times together. Once as a day trip with the family 2nd of May 2011. Just Penguin and her Leopard for their 1 year anniversary on 8th February 2012. And finally another family trip on 13th April 2013.

Every time they have been,  Penguin and Leopard have seen a beautiful, bright Toucan, named Tam.

The first time (2nd May 2011) he was in a medium sized cage. He was in a house that had bats and mammals in different cages.
The second time (8th may 2012) he was flying freely in a rainforest house kind of thing.  Penguin and  Leopard were their to feed penguins. It was Penguin’s life time dream and Leopard being the sweet, lovely guy he is decided it would be perfect for our first anniversary. (He is so romantic when he doesn’t mean to be!)  But Penguin was VERY grumpy! I was tired (Couldn't sleep because I was so excited), cold (that was the year it snowed a stupid amount), and it was a longgggg journey.  We went into the rainforest bit and Tam came flying over. He came so close! Sat next to us, he pinched my bum! And was talking to us. I think he liked my hat. He cheered me up so much. He made the day even more perfect! (

We asked the keeper who was with us for feeding the penguins the Toucan's name, that's how we found out he was called)
And the last time, this time (13th April 2013), Penguin wanted to find him more then she wanted to see anyone else. Even more then the Penguins! But only just! I checked the two placed he was the last two times and he wasn’t there! I was so worried he was gone or had passed. But after we fed the Green naped Lorikeets, we looked round the other birds.. And there he was! I even wore my penguin hat again in case it helped him recognise me!

Cheetah - the kitty cat all Bears LOVE!!!

I know my all time favourite animals will always be White Tigers then Panda Bears… any kind of bear really. But my big cat love will always be Cheetahs. They are truly amazing, the speed they get up to, their shape and muscle abilities. They are gorgeous and have pretty tails! I have had the amazing chance to see one up very, very close and it was mind blowing! One of my Highlights of Paradise Wildlife Park was to see the three they had roaming around together very happily! I went to see them four times and got tons of photos to get me by until I get to see them again!
I loved how they would circle right over to the enclosures bars and windows and that they weren’t afraid of us, even the screaming children! I find it really hard to believe anyone could fear them – you simply just want to cuddle them!

Fluffy Animals! Fluffies EVERYWHERE = HEAVEN!!!

We got to see the White Lions and White Tigers. The mummy White Lion was there with her new cub; although mostly sleeping whenever we saw them it was enlightening seeing them so happy with each other. The cub was growing so fast! I waited 21 years to meet a white tiger when Narnia was at WHF in Smarden but she slept the whole way through! This time Narnia and Macow were wandering around and he was feeling rather playful so kept stalking her but she was having none of it! They were so funny, it resembled children play fighting it was wonderful and worth the wait. Maybe sometimes all your dreams can be in one place?
Leopard Simon got to see his beloved Mizi after almost three years! She was soon to meet her new mate so I bet she loved seeing her favourite keeper to cheer her up and take away the nerves beforehand!
Sheena is the African Leopard they have; Simon met her when he volunteered at the park for a few weeks, after the whole time sleeping all it took was for Simon to call her. She came out up to him and rolled around like an adorable little kitten! It shows that they do remember and what an influence he has on the animals he meets!
We also saw Rocky, the Tiger. Our AJ fed him many, many years ago so it was great for him to see him again as well as his son!
We also saw the Otters playing around together, the exotic birds… some rather too friendly! We even found an African Grey Parrot (Like our Rocky at home), A Chilean Rose Tarantula (Like Tulay) and a Bearded Dragon (Like Blackie), We truly do live in a zoo!
Simon found a snake they were following him; maybe he is a secret Harry Potter of our time. He sees to be able to connect with them… Dr. Simon Dolittle?
There’s also a little dome you can pop your head into to see the snakes inside and possibly look a little crazy like we did!

I like to move it.. Move it! You like to move it.. Move it!

As a birthday present to little Sammy from Penguin and Leopard, he went to feed the Ring tailed Lemurs. This meant a family day trip to the zoo. Everyone was happy with that !

Sam seemed to enjoy the experience itself. He was in there awhile. Even our nephew loved it! He said that when he is big, he wants to do it too. Everyone had a nice day!
-Interesting fact about Lemurs- The female Lemurs are in charge. The females eat first and then the males
Not all the Lemurs were willing to wait until Sammy fed them! Just walking in he ended up with one in the bowl! And when he tried to feed them other would come along and steal the food from his hand, the other Lemurs hand or even the other Lemurs mouth! Some just took food straight from the bowl itself while he was feeding the others. They were jumping all over him! One stayed on his shoulder like it was a parrot. Apparently they were only really interested in the apple.. And when he was coming back out, one of them tried to escape! Think he wanted to come home with us.. We would of been happy with that. Sammy says that Lemurs are his favourite animals now.
Lucky he was with the Ring tailed Lemurs! Sounded like the ones next door had a big fight!

Feeding the Beasts – yes they sometimes feed us too!

When you first walk into the zoo there is this cute little stand where you can buy prepared feed bags for some of the animals that won’t try to eat you alive :D. It was great because we could feed the Reindeers and the Ostriches, The Goats, Pigs and the Sheep. Well our nephew decided to throw the food at the pigs! It was really adorable because he was very scared to feed the animals but step by step we got him to feed the hungry baby goats they had. It was worth it in the end as he was really happy that he got to do it and how it “tickled” while they were eating off of his hands! We got the whole family to have a go feeding them as it really was quite lovely. It is so great that zoos actually still let the children (as apparently they enjoy the feeding too) having the hands on experience to feed the animals and stroke them. It must really give them a sense of how different and cool animals are! Bring back the petting zoos! To hell with germs and gross animal slobber!

Lily, Lulu, Elie && Kari!!!

We put Lily, Lulu, Elie & Kari together for the Incredibooth photos. It wasn’t easy getting four fluffies to behave for all the photos and took three of us to hold them and make it happen, after a few headaches we managed to get it done, military style! :D

Whats our name again!?!

Whats our age name again!?!
We found the stickers from an old birthday banner and went crazy attacking everyone with them at half one in the morning as we were up looking for something! We had a Bear and a Penguin, We got Jeff and Wonder Mummy. Then Jeff got AJ and added knob without him realising – numpty bum! Then we left ours on the kitchen blinds and went to sleep for a busy day!

Chinese...Date? Night...

After complaining to the high heavens to Pets at Home about our Ivy we stopped for a quiet lunch to try and cheer ourselves up. There ended up being a weirdo right next to us that made clear he could of stole our bags at any moment when we were getting food, then sat the rest of the meal talking into his Bluetooth headset and ignoring his wife the whole time – douche! Funnily enough none of us really ate much at the all you can eat. We barely even touched our drinks! Maybe we should work up our appetites beforehand!

OUR BELOVED IVY

Ivy was our new Plecostomus, She was beautiful and swam around mentally when our voices vibrated on her travel bag. We were advised by many employees of Pets at Home that it would be fine to be put in with a Blue Crayfish (Claws) even a “Fish Expert” advised us on the right kind that was clearly no use!
Sadly Ivy didn’t make it past the day and we were both beside ourselves with shock and grief that it had happened. More so because we triple checked!
We did go back the next day and share our upset and concern at their advice. Sadly the “Fish Expert” wasn’t there at the time but we got an apology and well what more could they do? Apparently the employee would have had “words” but what’s that to us now? Peh.
We gave her a worthy send off.

Claws Blujazzled?

Claws’ little home was looking a little on the glum side with normal coloured plants but we found an amazing bright blue one and now she loves it! It’s nice to have something to compare her colour blue too and brighten up the place!

Blindfolded Lipstick...Uh OHH!

The game is: Get lipstick in place on their lips... close your eyes... try to apply the lipstick...
Then laugh!
!!!A LOT!!!

We did it with lip gloss first and Penguin practiced again on Sammie.

Then we used the much loved red lip stick... that is a little hard to get off...

We have learnt ... we are TERRIBLE at it!

We make DRAGONS!!! *Breathes Fire*

We love making Fimo things.

I lie.

WE FRIGGIN' HATE IT!!!

Its fiddly, all the colours need a lot of softening beforehand which kills, the colours mix if you dont wash your hands and work space between every colour and did i mention thy are fiddly as hell. Oh and you have to remember they are in the oven and manically run downstairs to fetch them out!

But sometimes like making dragons or our Harleys bits it is fun... mostly! We cant post our Harleys bits as its a secret!!! Until she gets them but theses are:

Bears Bits:

(Lily, Lulu & Elies paw prints ready to be a necklace - My swirly Batman logo - Baby Dragon - Big Dragon and Flash logo xD)

Penguins bits:

(Ellen & Toni name heart - Mad hatter hat - T Bear, O Bear, N Bear & I Bear - Flash Logo - Kari Print - Batman logo - Kari Print...again :) - Dragon - Stumpy Print)

We love our dragons most!
